Introduction to Community Membership

Community Membership is the welcoming entry point into the Cycle Connect Bhaktapur family. It is open to individuals and families who share our mission and values and want to participate actively in our events, rides, and community activities.

This membership is designed to be inclusive, accessible, and growth-oriented—allowing members to engage at their own pace while having opportunities to grow into more active roles in the future.

  • Eligibility: Individuals aged 18 and above who support the values of CCB.
  • Benefits:
    • Participate in public rides and programs.
    • Receive updates, announcements, and newsletters.
    • Access to member-only offers or merchandise.

  • Fees:
    • Initiation Fee: NPR 500
    • Annual Renewal: NPR 200
  • Eligibility: Individuals aged 18 years and below.
  • Parental/Guardian Consent: Required.
  • Benefits:
    • Participation in youth-focused rides and events.
    • Access to mentorship and learning opportunities.

  • Fees:
    • Initiation Fee: NPR 100
    • Annual Renewal: NPR 100
  • Eligibility: Individuals aged 55 and above.
  • Benefits:
    • Inclusion in wellness-focused and relaxed-pace rides.
    • Social opportunities with fellow senior cyclists.

  • Fees:
    • Initiation Fee: NPR 750
    • Annual Renewal: NPR 250
  • Family membership allows households to join Cycle Connect Bhaktapur as a unit, promoting family participation in cycling and community activities
  • Eligibility: Two or more individuals from the same household.

  • Benefits:
    • Full benefits for each family member.
    • Discounted or bundled access to selected events.
    • Encouragement of intergenerational participation.

  • Fees:
    • Initiation Fee: NPR 1500+ per family
    • Annual Renewal: NPR 500+ per family
    • * For family of 4 or less, for each additional member Rs 100 per addition in membership initiation fee and Rs 50 in renewal fee

Rights and Responsibilities

Rights

Community Members are entitled to:

  • Participate in all open/public CCB events and programs.
  • Access communications, newsletters, and announcements.
  • Be recognized as part of the CCB cycling community.

Responsibilities

Community Members are expected to:

  • Uphold the values and mission of CCB.
  • Abide by the Code of Conduct of CCB.
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive, and safe cycling culture.
  • Pay membership fees within the required timeframe.

 Membership Application Process

  • Interested individuals or families must fill out the Community Membership Application Form 
  • Submit fees as per the designated category
  • Applications are reviewed and approved by the Membership Sub-Committee under the Executive Committee.

Code of Conduct for Community Members

All Community Members must:
i. Represent CCB respectfully and positively in all interactions.
ii. Treat all members and participants with respect and dignity.
iii. Promote safety and inclusiveness during rides and events.
iv. Avoid any discriminatory, offensive, or harmful behavior.
v. Comply with all policies, rules, and ride guidelines of CCB.
vi. Support the overall community spirit of the organization.

Note : A replacement fee of Rs. 100 will be charged for lost cards.
